GENERAL:
This ultrasonic cleaning system is designed as a precision ultrasonic stencil cleaning system of stencils that are 24 inches and smaller. The system provides for a two stage cleaning process. The system utilizes water and detergent in the ultrasonic cleaning tank.  The rinse station is separated from the ultrasonic wash tank via a single wall divider.
Stencils are manually transported through the wash, immersion rinse process.

The items that will be cleaned are a variety of aluminum frame printed circuit stencils. The average stencil (load) will be less than 30 lbs.

SYSTEM LAYOUT:
The equipment is stainless steel exterior frame with all stainless steel tanks and a stainless steel countertop with a drip preventative edge. The ultrasonic generator circuits are located within the frame of the console.  All the controls are located so they can be accessed from the front of the console.  Access to the console interior is via sliding white polypropylene front panels, and removable rear panel.

GENERAL CONSTRUCTION:
The tanks are fabricated from 316L stainless steel and the frame is fabricated from 304 stainless steel # 4 finish. The hinged tank cover is designed to facilitate a final manual spray rinse.

DIMENSIONS:
The wash / rinse console, stainless steel console with overall dimensions of
41” (L to R), 31”  (F to B), and 37” High. Add 5” to left side for filter housings (46” width)

ULTRASONICS:
The ultrasonic power on this console is supplied by one (1) 1500 watt, 40 kHz ultrasonic sweep generator.  The total ultrasonic power is rated at 1,500 watts average output and 3,000 watts peak power. Sweep circuitry (300 Hz sweep rate) Patented constant power circuit design monitors power output continuously adjusting input power for controlled consistency. (US patent 5,895,997). The ultrasonic tank is equipped with 36 piezoelectric elements, eighteen (18) “Vibra-bar®” transducers permanently attached to the front outside of the ultrasonic wash tank. This system provides “Simultaneous Multi-Frequency™” ultrasonics to insure reliable and uniform ultrasonic power throughout the bath.  The ultrasonic generator includes an RFI (radio frequency interference filter). Within the console the transducers are covered to protect the system operators and maintenance operators from coming in contact.

PLUMBING:
The wash, rinse console will be plumbed for single point connections for the fill and the drain. The connection will be located on the rear of the console. The fill and drain valves will be accessible from the front of the console behind the sliding polypropylene access doors.

OPERATIONAL CONTROLS:
The ultrasonic generator on / off switch and one  button “cycle start” with adjustable digital timer.
The power intensity control is located on the front panel of the generator.  Heater on/off switches with pilot light are on the control panel.  Adjustable heater control thermostats are located within the console.

Fill and drain valves are located within the console and can be accessed behind the front sliding panels.

OTHER CONTROLS:
Low liquid level safety switches are included for the wash and the rinse tank (conductivity type) Manual reset required.  Digital temperature readout for wash and rinse tanks.

ELECTRICAL SERVICES REQUIRED:
Electrical service:  Each console has a single point electrical connection, 240 vac single phase

WATER SERVICE REQUIRED:
Fill and rinse water: Tap water. (or hot “soft” tap water will maximize the effectiveness of the cleaning chemical).  Separate drains valves for the ultrasonic wash tank and the rinse tank are provided.

INSTRUCTION MANUAL:
The equipment is furnished with an operator’s manual containing a description of the ultrasonic generator and the transducers, general care, safety precautions and a list and description of the operation system controls and indicators along with an electrical schematic.

TEST:
The machine is given a full operational test prior to shipping.  If the customer wants to witness this test he must advise Ultrasonic Power Corporation in writing of any specific criteria he will want to test in addition to the normal operational test.  This notification of witnessing of the test must accompany the purchase order.

GUARANTEE:
The equipment is warranted in accordance with the standard Ultrasonic Power Corporation warranty certificate.
